Thursday the previous week - I drove out to John Ness' place and picked up his trailer. Naturally had to rewire the lights. On Friday, Megan took the ute to day camp and picked up all this excess firewood.  Chris later transferred the wood to the trailer and so we had almost a complete trailer load of wood.

Friday afternoon we drove to Hervey Bay and stayed at Dave's house.
Saturday was a day trip to Fraser.
Sunday we managed to make it back home.

Monday we started packing and packed and packed.
2:25pm we finally drove out the gate

The old car battery from the Tiida and 40W solar panel.  It would charge at bout 1A.

Voltage seemed quite low though.  Ended up giving it half an our connected to the car.

2016 Canberra 1

Jemma and I are having a Father - Daughter adventure.
The first thing was the flight down.  Virgin had a better zoo class offering both in time and cost.  Then they had the option of bidding for a business class upgrade.  I decided on my bid by making the total up to half the business class seat which was about $800.

Henry met us at the airport and then we met Charlie, Melissa, Lucy & Jack for lunch.

Megan Thomson et al doing the oxfam 100km walk. Mick and I were on breakfast at Brookfield. A Canadian theme of Bacon, eggs, Pancakes & Mapel syrup was requested.

Jemma kindly made the pancake mix. Friday night.  Actually Jem and I watched "Apollo 13" and only after it was done did we start on the pancake mix.  We made 4x mix.

 Mick collected us at 6 and we were at Brookfield round 7. We noted the reserved red carpet dunny. Amazing what status money can buy. :)  (I thought it was kind of fun to have some sort of egalitarian thing associated with a fund raiser associated with the poorest of the poor.

While we waited, we checked out the Brookfield markets and wondered if we should have just bought the walkers breakfast and coffee although none would do pancakes as good as Jemma.

Grammar Rugby Football

As a impressionable young grade 8 boy I was herded off to the Gallery along with 169 other boarders where we were educated on the finer points of supporting our senior footballers.  We were taught the school war cry and a few supporters songs.
