Club State Rowing Championships

Fri 22 sat 23  sun 24 at wyaralong.

Jemma only had a single 4th and quad 2nd.

A coxless Quad had been organised for the girls.  Problem was it was in poor condition. This became visible to me when mike was panicked and looking through his bag and people were streaming to the shore with screwdrivers. Picking up on the social graces, i grabbed my tool bag and headed for the shore. Turned out strokes slides were too far back.  Scott and I both tried and failed to move them.  Sophie & Jess changed places with Sophie now in 3 seat.  I went to put 3 seats foot stretcher back in and found the bolts really rusty. I thought cripes this is badly maintained. How did we let this happen. As they pulled away,  I realised it was not one of our boats.

2021 Electricity

First thing, it seems that the electricity providers make it actually hard to locate the actual pricing.  They will tell you all about how good their deal is but trying to work out what that deal actually is seems hard.

Electricity is sold on a per day plus per kWh usage.
I now have some data.  My July Origin Electricity Account was:
Average Daily usage = 13.6kWh
For 3 months               195kWh @24.915c/kWh = $48.58
   +Tarrif 33 controlled 288kWh @20.845 c/kWh = $60.03
Mind you this bill was about half of previous bills.
OK we got $200 from the govt -> Covid I assume.
Supply charge 116c/day                                        = 58.03

The question arose in my mind whether to clean it myself or pay "bond cleaners".

The real estate agent had sent a list of things that individuals tend to overlook when cleaning. This included:

Washing fly screens 

Bottom tracks of windows and doors. 

I got some quotes from bond cleaners. This ranged from $800 for the clean plus $150 for carpets to $600 for both.

I figured I'd have a go at cleaning first.  After spending 2 hrs on one bath room,  I figured pay the $600.

The covid lock down happened.  I was unsure on how this affected me but it did not sound like the real estate were likely to give me a repeal so I called up the bond cleaners and they were keen to start. 

Graeme Thomas brought back the Ute and we moved everything to work.
