Day off work

Had a covid test.... just in case.

Awaiting results. 

Feel a bit ordinary.

Mild headache.

Weird being alone and sick.

Coughing up phlegm.

No energy 

Covid result received by text -negative 

Throat a bit more sore.

Went to Oxley medical clinic. 

Prescribed Nasonex and Amoxicillin.

I was a bit concerned with a antibiotic but the doc said they were concerned that my sinuses were starting to be infected. This was apparently from the "achy nose" symptom.

Anyway a couple of sprays from the Nasonex and a Amoxicillin seem to have made a huge improvement. 

Went to bed early 7 ish.  Coughing up phlegm every hour. 

FRIDAY

Awoke feeling much better. 

Still got up often coughing up phlegm. 

Had some Pineapple and squeezed 4 oranges. No taste. I wonder if that's a by product or if woolies are selling stuff that's been in storage.

SATURDAY 3rd

4am

Lower back.  Hips. Ankles, knees all ache.  Esp when lieing down.

6pm Aches still there.

Creating and Importing CSV to Excel

 PROBLEM

I am trying to export a Bill Of Material (BOM) as a CSV file.
Some fields appear numeric but they are not.
Excel is trimming leading zeros.
So Package type 0603 turns up on Excel as 603

Putting all values in double quotes does not work.  ,"0603",
Putting a double quoted equal sign does not work  ,"=""0603",
Putting a single quote inside the double quotes before the number does not work
eg   ,"'0603" ---> Gives '0603 and looks messy
only works when you are manually entering data from the keyboard.

Gives some useful but also some incorrect advice. 

But it also gives this advice

Putting a tab before all values before putting double quotes around them DOES prevent conversions to dates AND DOES prevent trimming of leading or trailing zeroes and the sheet does not even show nasty warning markers in the upper left corner of each cell.

And ASCII tab is decimal 9

tiida Insurance due

 Received an email from RACQ advising the Tiida's insurance is due.

I log in and find I am a 8 year member with renewal due toward the end of July.  This is a timely email and triggers me to check rego and also they want $869.24 ouch!.  I wonder about options.

 I go online and get quotes from others.  Then I realise that the Tiida insurance lists Dan and Megan. 

 Now the thinking going through my head is
The cost of listing Jemma over just me is column D.
For RACQ that's $212 and IF she has a prang that saves us $1400 in unlisted driver excess.
But what if anyone else drives it.  Makes for an interesting question.  What happens if one lists dozens of people.

If we have a prang, then the cost will be the premium for the year plus the excess.  $2131

What if we just do 3rd part Property Fire and Theft?
The premium drops to $260 which is nice but if she has a prang then we will still have all those excesses and the total is $3060.  And we don't get our $4k car fixed.

Just with Jemma listed as a learner but they know the date and month she got her L's so I wonder how they factor that with when she gets her P's.

Heny and Frank visit Aunty Margaret

Took the day off work. 

Henry and I had a leisurely breakfast of bacon, eggs and butter nut pancakes.

Drove north. Lots of road works with reduced speed limits and perfectly 

unsynchronised traffic lights. 

Arrived aunty Margaret's around 11:40.

At 1pm, I had to sneak off to a bed room to participate in a telecon.

Lunch toasted ham cheese and tomatoe sandwich. 

Naturally plenty of really fascinating discussion about family history.

Bike light fail

Tuesdays I often ride with Ben. Coffee at 'Diva' on Swann Rd.  Then across the green bridge. Ben goes to the city and I go to Syndetic. 

Last Tuesday evening, I'm about 1/4 home and suddenly my head light goes out. Riding in the dark is illegal and me thinks a bit dangerous.  I persist for a bit considering options.

Perhaps call into a servo or convenience store and buying a torch. Then I hit on the idea of seeing if I could download an app that would make the flash LED on my phone flash

Password Security Compromise

 Last night I logged into google with a new device.  Today, when checking my email I see one from google advising of a new login from an unknown device.  I dutifully followed the link to say it's me. 

 

 Then there was a note about doing a security check up.  I normally ignore these but today I decided to have a look.

Ouch

So I start working my way through.  I used to have only a couple of passwords.  Less to remember.  But now I have a unique password for each site.  

Crap.  Look the chinese have been in my account.  

Password changed and devices logged out.
