ITALY TO UK

Discussions showed that there were two main options.
a) Land transport to Verona and then Fly to London.
b) Land Transport to Innsbruck then Fly to London.

a) VERONA
flightconnections.com showed that all flights to London were in the morning but it would take 5-6 hours to get from Corvara to Verona and so one would have to spend a night at Verona in order to be sure to be there in time for a morning flight.  So although flights from Verona were cheaper than from Innsbuck, such savings would be negated by the cost of the overnight accommodation.

BA only offered business seats on points at 30 000 points.

b) INNSBRUCK
In the end decided to go via Innsbruck firstly because Rob has booked Innsbuck to Scotland on the afternoon of the 24th so I can travel with him from Corvara to Innsbruck.  ie risk / stress reduction.

3 March Train from Chambery to Moutiers booked.
3 March bus from Moutiers to Val Thorens booked

 FRENCH TRAVEL

For Eurostar though it does not seem like it works.  The timetables and costs do not seem to line up between SNCF-Connect and Eurostar.  

Lets look at Train options.
