Sunday - Road Trip to Toowoomba

 Phoebe and I took a road trip to Toowoomba.  One purpose was to deliver and "InSolution" system and this was a great opportunity to catch up with RDH.

Backing up, Coaching cancelled and I realised the control unit that I has assembled was missing two screws so we drove to Bunnings and picked up a couple of Stanly knives for work.  Opened the box and confirmed the screws were indeed missing. 

As we were running late, a small breakfast was called for and we dropped into the Yeronga bakery.  Phoebe puchased a small Quiche for me and a salad roll and a coffee for herself.  Some legendary Vanilla slice was also purchased and put aside for later.

Over to work and installed the screws and repackaged the equipment.

On way to Toowoomba.  Arranged to meet Richard at Picnic Point.  Mags had a walk and we looked at Table Top.  Richard showed us the waterfall.  Weird that I have never seen the waterfall.

Connecting with Phoebe has made a huge difference.  Major improvement in my mental health outlook.

Saturday 25 May

Rocks Riverside and the rain had come in. Athletic stretching during the pre race acknowledgements. Today's race plan had Frank and Phoebe each going separately.

The gun fired and we were off. In the crowd keeping up with a man with a pram. Bunched as we reached the first corner and passed by a pram pushed by another mother (just wanted to use that). Past the missing Thai chi statues and we've made 500m. Stretch out with stride rhythm wishing I'd worn a hat as the rain stung my eyes. (Phoebe: "it was barely drissling, toughen up sunshine"). Past the JW's who were also absent. Up ahead in the distance I see a shimmering sign. My legs grew heavy and my lungs were already dim. Thinking abouts knives and never leaving here. Round we went. Past the JWs who are still absent. Maybe they really were accepted.

Back home and Phoebe cooked up a beautiful omelette which we ate on the deck. 

 

 

 

 

Phoebe went to see her dad. I took Mags to work. 

Worked on getting an "in solution" system out the door. 

In the evening, heated a couple of spag bogs, grabbed half a bottle of wine. Loaded mags. 

Dropped into Coles and picked up a Tiramisu. 

Over to Phoebe's where my provisions were teamed with a salad.

Park Run

 Phoebe and I did park run.  I little faster than last week.  Ran the first half non stop.  Some walking segments on the return leg.  Phoebe is getting better fast. When she gets going she is formidable.

Find My Computer

Every now and then, one of the work computers goes missing.  Yesterday I saw a post from a friend that said her kid's school computer had gone missing.

I figured I would see what Microsoft have managed.

Of course this is my device and the whole idea is to find it when I don't have it.
Mind you the Find my pen sounds interesting.  Can I also get find my keys, girlfriend, kids...

I have two microsoft accounts.  A personal one and a work one.  In my opinion, Microsoft's arrangements for small business are crap.

The next question is how to travel and what to include on this trip. 

2 Dogs-

Do I take Mags? For her mental and physical health, I try to take her with me on weekends. Her normal Sunday includes a ride in a tinnie at Centenary.

Unfortunately Brisbane is very up tight when it comes to dogs. Much more up tight than Europe or UK. 

Train Bus - No dogs

City Cat - Yes Dogs on weekends. With a name that includes Cat, kind of seems appropriate that Dogs should be included. 🤔

Brisbane City Botanic Gardens - Dogs on lead allowed.

3 Could catch up with Phil who lives in City. 

4 Could ride. 

I suspect I'd need to leave at 6 am.
