I arrived at Church to setup and discovered a giant mulcher was disrupting the good order of nature. I figured the good Lord would have difficulty hearing our prayers :).
I chatted with the men and established that they planned to be there for another couple of hours. After a deep breath and a recalibration of my brain, I figured change of venue was required. (Later I saw two luminaries from our church shooing them off)
Feel sorry for any of the neighbors. This thing was so loud. Imagine if you planned a nice quiet Sunday and this thing parked in your driveway. After they left us they just moved next door.
We moved into the "Fellowship Room" at the church.
The "Science" Lesson was based on Mark 9:2-9 where Jesus is "Transfigured" - changed. We made pancakes. Liquid changed to solid bu cooking. :)
Janet did communion and did it really nicely. She got each kid to hold the cup and the plate with the bread and offer it to a friend and say "This is the body of Christ broken for you" and "This is the blood of Christ". Once the receiver had eaten their bread they then took the bread and wine and passed the message onto the next person.
After Church everyone met in the Fellowship Room for morning tea. The kids ramped up the production of pancakes (pikelets)
