The guys reported that the thing was not charging. They would shove something between the charging plug (left) and the microphone plug (right) to get it to charge but even then the battery would not reliably charge nor hold out for a 2hr rowing session.
Took some photos so I could remember how to reassemble it.
This is the battery. Turn the bit in the middle and extract the battery. The battery is keyed so you cant put it back in.
Its Lipo. There are 4 contacts on the bottom.
Ground (Common)
V+
Some kind of monitoring pin and
one other unknown.
The white VH4 connector in the main piece mates with the 4 pins on the base section.
There was quite a deal of crap visible as white flecks in this photo.
Blew it all out and then used silicone grease on the o-ring.
