Dismantle.
In my opinion Blanco have done good mechanical design that makes it easy to dismantle & reassemble.
All screws use a TORX (5mm I think)
These screws get removed.
Note no need to remove the screws that hold the hinge.
This is the handle and the screw.
Inside the door
There are 3 pieces of glass between the human and the hot inside. There is the glass fascia and two inner ones. This is the middle piece of glass.
Another good design feature is little metal pieces that ensure that you cant put it back together the wrong way.
I have a Blanco oven mod BFS95F the problem is the oven door will not fully close any suggestions would be appreciated

DeleteSpring looks good. Nice and firm. However the hinge feels like it should sit closer to the oven. ie the slack in the hinge is preventing the door from closing fully. My thoughts are to build up the hinge section which goes into the oven thus preventing it from sagging open.

DeleteWhen you remove and reinstall the door, is the hinge locked with that little metal bit shown in the top couple of photos.
ReplyDeleteMy Blanco oven would not close tight at top, new hinge units bought... not cheap.... door pulls shut at top but slips out at bottom. Cause I think, the piece of metal the door hinge locks into, slightly bent slightly burred. Now to dismantle the whole oven.
ReplyDeleteours is exactly the same. door no longer closes properly. hinges seem fine but the hinge receiver n each side is bent.
