Movie Review below
Saturday afternoon was slated to be a visit to the cinema to "The Smurfs". An added complication was that the customers required 3D and the Eldorado does not show it in 3D.
There is a bit of a variety in prices.
Indooroopilly 8: Adult=$19.50, Child=$15, Family deal of 1 A + 2C = $34.
Southbank: Adult=$13, Child=9
Tried to get prices for the Dendy but gave up on their web site and tried phoning and navigated through pushing 1 and 2 etc. At the appropriate point in th menu system, the computer anounced a problem and after repeating the exercise and getting the same error anouncement, I gave up.
So for 2 Adults and 3 kids we have these options
Indooroopilly $49
Southbank $40
Chose Southbank and luckilly managed to find a park and Megan and c bought tickets, popcorn and Maltesers.
SMURF MOVIE REVIEW
Well you could be forgiven for believing you were sitting through an extended advertisment for Sony products and New York. The picture- you guessed it is produced by Sony. The main human charater has a Sony Vaio notebook. Part way through the movie we see Smurfs riding on the roof of the taxi along side an add for Blue Man Group - OK Humor you say but then the next Taxi ride has an ad for Blue Ray and guess who invented Blue Ray Yep you guessed it - Sony. Then in the middle of the movie, the Smurfs are needing to relax. What do they do. Well naturally they play guitar hero on the human's Sony play station connected to his big you guessed it Sony TV. This blatent advertisment just goes on and on. When they are not advertising Sony, you get panoramic views of New Yourk. Of course they defeat the bad guy and return through the vortex to their magical home land and everyone lives happily ever after. Oh dash I just blew the ending for you.
