A tough row in a 4. Tide was going out and the wind was blowing upstream and Milton reach was churning. We rowed in pairs for a bit and then all 4 but skimming blades on the water in the recovery.
At the end, we almost tipped over as we turned around to come in. I thought the tide was supposed to be going out but we seemed to drift past the pontoon. Later I checked the tide times for West End and indeed the tide was going out but I think the wind, which was blowing upstream was stronger and made it feel like the tide was coming in.
A surprise visit from Phoebe at breakfast.
