Saturday night we (Megan, Chris, Dan) drove to Brigidine to watch the Musical Showcase.
Turns out it's a small world. The show is a co production with Ambrose Tracey (Weird name for a) school whose Major asset is a ready supply of boys. Opened with a boy banging his drum sticks together and shouting "one two three" and possibly "four". Megan who was seated a row back texted me to advise this was Charlie Newman from Church.
Other small world stuff -
Glynn and Roz were on sound representing CPC who have expanded from CPC audio to CPC Production.
Mr Andrew Beiers. Deputy Principal Mission - - Glynn, Roz and I met Andrew a gazillion years ago when the UC tech crew help out with a couple of Catholic youth rallies at the Piazza.
The Showcase was a musical medley with some band music from the Ambrose Tracey orchestra and dramatic bits from the two schools. Only the finale had both boys and girls on stage at the same time. Some of the girls bit came from the musical Annie and some from Matilda. Jemma was an urchin in Annie.
I enjoyed it. Kept moving. Bright and entertaining in my view. Only an hour long too.
