Getting off the water, I felt very sore in my upper hammies. Seemed to get worse with time. Turned out Graham had the same issue. At one stage, we were both lying on the ground with our respective girlfriends massaging our hammies.

Really enjoyed today's race. Arduously conditions for sure but it felt to me like everyone put in and stayed focused such that the boat sat up. Sarah did a great job and shows the value of the cox. Getting the various fours combinations to do efforts and "compete" for better splits showed how we need that external whip crack to get us focussed and showed that there's still physical energy left when the brain has gone into slow mode.

Possibly fueled by the last couple of HOTY experiences, I've been a bit ho-hum recently not feeling a part of a team. Today though I did especially right at the end when members of the other Grammarian crews stepped forward and helped to de-rig our boat. Thank you gents.
