Chat GPT:
"There is independent evidence that the girls at Cardabia Station really were a known attraction to RAAF crews flying along that coast. A wartime RAAF pilot, John “Blue” Bailey, later wrote that while flying past Cardabia he saw two girls on the roof waving at his aircraft. He identified them as Wanda French, about 19, and Mara French, about 17. He deliberately made a low pass, and on a later flight actually landed on a nearby claypan to visit the girls and their parents for tea.

Yes. It's interesting.

It appears one of dads crashes were as a result of girls.

In dad's case, we think a wing tip hit the ground and the plane spun out. Killing a crew member but dad and pilot survived with injuries. Apparently there's a inquiry report in the national archives.

I guess young men and young women showing off to each other.

Dad at 10
Aunty marg recites a story where dad and aunty marg and the brothers walked several miles from the farm homestead to the front gate. Aunty marg was 6 and dad was 10. Aunty marg was then tired and dad piggybacked her back.
