Laura St Festival

At the Laura St festival. Very relaxed. Folky, independent artists and a bit of rock too. Saw Graham Thomas & Melissa Lochran & Steve Trupp. If you look closely, you'll see Phoebe Antonieff Mitchell on uke on Aaron Nebauer 's stage.

Graham, Mel, Phoebe and myself walked the length of the festival. 

Rock band performing half way on the left. A drag performance at the far end. Lots of chalk art drawn on the road.

2am awake. 

Raining. 

Feeling low. 

Not knowing why. 

Rain is usually relaxing. 

ROWING 

the 3rd eight managed to get on the water. 

It was drizzling so skipped warm up in 4s in favour of just rowing in rotating sixes. 

Then we did strikes. 10 each at finish,  hands away and so on and each time followed by 10 normal. 

The boat seemed to sit up reasonably well.  Better than I'd expected. Maybe that's just my predication for negative thinking.

Unaware of the consequences and figuring Anyway I switched us to a work piece

We then did just light rowing home.

Graham and Mel invited us to come out on their boat. 

FRI
Phoebe and I met at my place and left around 3:30 to drive down to Raby Bay. 
Arrived about ten to five per plan and boarded.
Motored across to horseshoe bay at Peel island.

The evening was pleasant and I was a bit sleepy and not really into social participation and as we sat in the cockpit did my fall asleep at the party thing.

SAT

Phoebe had brought a hand reel and caught a couple of small fish that had to be thrown back. 

Then commotion and to quote Mel "we didn't expect you to catch anything". Panic ensued while knives and buckets were located. 

Phoebe sliced and diced. Then fried it up.  I've been grazing as we motored and now so full. 

 

 

While on board I had to do the grammarians allocation.  Graham as starlink which gives great internet connectivity.

 

 

 

 

Fri 1:50am

Been awake for a bit. 

Unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher. 

I think unfortunately I have a predilection for being a bit down or depressed. 

It's especially nice to be in a relationship with someone who loves me. To hear the words "I love you" is so nice,  reassuring, warm....

Some stress at work:

Sarsat job is late and people have been changing the tuning process. 

New GFC has too many problems. 

Old GFC had required my involvement to clean up the tuning process. 

InSolution 4G is suffering. 

CuNi monitor has a yet unsolved issue. 

This weekend Phoebe and I are going on Graham's boat with Mel.

So much good yet I still feel a little low.

In each set,  Squats started shallow and gradually deepened.

Ok I'm trying to build a habit of a bit of exercise each morning and another bit each evening. This morning was a row and squats. 

Tuesday was ride to and from work. 

With a row in the morning, Wednesday felt like a good day for a 30 minute erg. 

Fed the pestering pets. Put on shorts. Gathered water and music. 

Started slow at 18 strokes per minute. At 5 minutes in took it up two and again at 10 minutes another 2 and as the dreaded 15 approached, closed my eyes. Opened and we were at 14:10 pushed the rating up to 24
