12 MAR - MUSEE D'ORSAY

12 MAR - MUSEE D'ORSAY

Henry and I visited museum .

musee d'orsay

Lots of boobs on display.  Maybe a consequence that most artists displayed are or so I understand, men.

Lest you may think we there's more to the female form than just boobs, well we will chop off the arms and legs so you keep the focus.

There is a difference between French and English art (even discounting boobs) . To me this painting was a good example.

3pm Hot choc to recharge.

To get a bit of geographic perspective, here is Musee D'orsay middle bottom.  Across the rive is the Louvre.
Left bottom is the Eiffel tower.
Top Left is the Arc De Triomphe
Gare Nord is just off the map top right

I had to laugh at this - a freshness acknowledging sterotypes.

We lined up in the rain.  We and almost everyone else had umbrellas

Is this a case of "we already got one you silly Englishman"

That's the prototype, before the full size statue was built.
The Statue Of Liberty was designed and built in France, then shipped to the US.

Boobs seem to feature prominently in old art

Lest you lose focus and bein to think there's more to the female form than just boobs, the artist ensures you retain focus by chopping off everything else.

Old and new comes together to create more art
