EF have advised that they are in trouble. Insufficient ticket sales -> Low revenue.
Lack of Zing
Not sure what word to use but I felt atmospherically there was a lack of wow factor. Previous years we have had the evening variety show in various forms. The mime guy at the first variety show really went off but this year his performance at the start of the day was somewhat flat.
The bush dance this year did have zing.
Palace Underutilised
There were 5-6hrs a day when there was nothing happening at the Palace.
Personally I reckon if there is no money to pay performers then
a) Cut back on the tech - the sound system seemed over kill to me.
b) Send an invitation out to bands. Small bands. new bands. Church P&W bands. Send a audition video even if filmed on a phone. Tell them to bring their mates
