The Drivers window mechanism has died. Google of course shows how common this is. And the problem is PLASTIC parts. They just don't last.

I watched this youtube video and then set about dismantling our Vito's door. The only thing to add to what the fellow in the video says is that the mastic thhat glues the foam down is much easier to prize open when it is soft. So park the car in the sun then move it into the shade to dismantle.
