Two races.  Screamed in last in each race.

Interesting that others wrote lots of positive emails about it.  Like it wasn't a terrible race but I found it hard to be so positive about coming last.  Obviously a lot of people agreed with her email because they came back with very positive replies.
Gents,

I was too excited not to send this to you tonight.
They were 2 of the most impressive last places ever! You should be so happy with yourselves. Just a fantastic effort today. (Evan and Andrew, you deserve to be a part of this glory even though you weren’t there today and a huge thanks to the tremendous power of Frank and Scott)

The second race by far the best. Goes to show you don’t need me other than to steer straight
Hoping you all got the photos. Let me know if you didn’t.

Race 21: Mens D 8
8th place 3:50.91 (very very close behind Commercial and Grammarians 1)
Off the starting blocks at R33 split 1:37
First 300m were fantastic after the false start previous. 9+m length each stroke. Split 1:40
At the dreaded 500m we split 1:50 , but still nice and long, R32.
At the even harder 750m - 850m mark….actually, the longest "150 m to go”, we lost nearly 1m per stroke, but snapped out of it to finish long and strong….the added motivation that we were able to gain ground on Grammarians 1 and Commercial, and were close behind Sunshine Coast who were beside us, certainly helped.
That was a really nice finish.

Race 40: Mens C 8
6th Place 3:39.37
Off the starting blocks at R30 split 1:42
First 500m strong and long at R31-32 nearly 9m per stroke 1:45 - 1:47 split
Hick up at the 600m, lost 1m per stroke, split 1:58, maintained a 32 rating to the finish line.
We were approx 1 boat length behind Grammarians 3 most of the way. Held Grammarians 1 the entire way.
Nice work Cribby calling the last 400m!

Sleep well everyone

Kind regards
Michelle
