You may recall that during Covid the council forked out grants of $10k to help clubs stay alive through the shut-down.
Today they ran an afternoon tea to thank clubs for hanging in there and our vice president, Ros Hall and myself went into city hall to scoff the horse doovas and percolator coffee.
Oh and we made sure we invited the lord mayor and our councillor (Sarah Hutton) to come rowing.
