ThinkPad X1 Yoga Battery Replacement

KEY POINTS
Boot to Bios F1 Config and click "Disable Internal Battery" 
losen 8 captive Philips screws.
Losen clips on edge of cover with non metalic pry tool.
Battery on adhesive.  Need long nose pliers 

They use cr2016 batteries 

 


 


 


 


 

Old battery was only 644mV.  That is 0.644V should be 3V

New battery was 3.0V

 

 

The sticky tape came off stuck to the old battery and seemed stuck too well to get off.  Found some double sided tape to use.
