Android Keyboards with a enter button

Seems pretty obvious dont it that when you type a text message you might like to insert a new line by pressing the enter button.

With the demise of Crazy Johns phone network, we needed to do something for Chris.  I happened to have bought an Aldi prepaid to move Megan onto.  So I used that for Chris.  Turned out his handset was locked to Vodafone.  So I swapped handsets.  But blow me over when I tried to send a text message there was no enter button.  In its place was an emoticon :-)

A quick check of google and it seems that this is a common issue.  Oversight or misunderstanding by those at google.  No enter button.  Bizarre.
Tried various keyboards from the google play store:-
