grinding the floor

After the great floor rip up, we investigated grinding off the glue.  The glue which was all that remained of the first floor that was a "direct stick" wooden floor.  That floor was replaced 10 years ago after a water issue too.

We got three quotes (as you do)  Two at around $1500 and another at over $2k.  To hire a grinder would cost $350.  So I figured we were looking at $1k tops for someone to come and do it.  Then one day Megan saw a truck with "Tim's floor stripping" written on it. (The mind boggles).  She called them, they came and quoted.  It was much closer to the expected price coming in at under $1k so they got the job.  They came today.  Did the job and vacuumed up after.  So the place is nice and smooth and clean and ready for us to work out what is going down as the new floor.

I am more than happy to recomend these guys as they did a good job.  Tim's Floor stripping Tim Matthews 0411 599 895
