SATURDAY
Marcus, Dan, Megan and I helped Daryl, Wendy, Bryce & Stephen move house.
Megan and I had pre arranged that we were going shopping Saturday afternoon. As we were leaving Daryl & Wendy's (in separate cars of course) Megan, who had to go and pick up Jemma, said "Pack and over night bag".
So I did.
Marcus had organised hem self a sleepover at 'Bella's place.
Chris rode his bike to Declan's place.
We dropped Dan and Jemma at the Horkey's.
Then drove into town. Turned out we were staying at the Hotel George Williams. They have a super narrow very steep driveway to their underground car park. The Vito just managed to squeeze down.
We checked in and took our bags to our room then off for a massage. This was booked for 5pm so we spent an hour and a half shopping. The massage went for 45 minutes. The highlight here was the young chinese girl walking around on my back.
Then back to the hotel, changed into something more dressy. Dinner at Allure restaurant near king George Square. This was a great meal. Then wandered over to the cinema at the top of the Myer centre. I have to say that there was a small mental issue here in that I thought that the theatres were in the basement and Megan insisted that they were on the top floor. I spent quite some time running this around in my head. Finally we (Megan and I) remembered that we used to buy poffergies in the basement next to the cinema. I guess sometime they must have moved.
The Adjustment bureau - Loved it. Good for discussing predestination - Just how much does God try to keep mankind on track. This is Matrix meets Bourne conspiracy.
SUNDAY
Megan had a voucher for $100 at David Jones. I figured she could probably buy one sock.
We found a nice dress.
Zoom in and see if you can read the price tag.
. If you have to say it then it probably isn't true.
So if you happen to see the silk dress Megan is holding some place cheaper, can you let us know so we can ask DJ's to drop the price in accordance with their fine print.
Then went and watched the move of "I am number 4" I enjoyed it greatly. - Every thing that is needed in a good action film. Suspence, lots of explosions, good looking girl on fast motorbike who can also walk in slow motion through a exploding house. Ah that Holleywood petrol. Nasty things with teeth and claws. Laser guns. More matrix special effects and everything set for a sequel.
On the way back from the moie theatre to the hotel to collect the car we came across this snazzy little market. The vendors each had a suitcase of stuff to sell laid out on the ground. Great atmosphere. You can just see Magan in the denim dress on the left hand side.
And who should we catch selling off the family left overs - Tanja.
So all together a great and enjoyable weekend.
