The council have "announced " the ckosure from Victoria st to the BGS rowing shed.
It seems to me that most vibrant areas are places where people, cars, bikes and anything else all coexist.

By closing the road, it may be better for immediate locals who can walk but once you get in a car then you are likely to drive somewhere where you can park.
The council subtilly close the road during school holidays so BGS parents unlikely to kick up a stink and who else cares anyway
