His and Hers Nail Polsh Remover

Get a grip on things.  Many pieces of gear at work have a carrying handle.  These handles can be rotated to different angles.  One common adjustment method is to pull the handle out where it attaches to the equipment and rotate it.  This one must have a flaw.  I went to adjust it and it snapped.  At least this piece of gear only weighs a a kg or so.  Some of our equipment weighs a lot more and a broken handle would be a disaster.  The problem now is how to fix it.  I am asking the manufacturer for a new one.  As most people know, almost no glues work with plastic.  One option is to put some sort of block of aluminum in the recess where the handle broke and screw through the handle into it.  The downside of this is that forever more, it will remind people of the break.  Another option is to make a complete new handle out of aluminum for the sides and possibly wood for the part you carry.  It would give the gear that classic look but what a lot of effort.  On the glue side, I tried super glue and as expected, it did not stick.  I will try Methyl Methacrylate available from RS part number 236-8156
