In recent times the Boys Brigade have been 'doing fishing'. That meant taking our rods and making them a bit .... well more organised ....
On Saturday it was organised that we would go to a Fish Eco Park place.
Now I envisaged tanks and tanks brimming with Fish
Can't loose I figured. There would be so much fish that even without a hook I figured they would be just jumping up.
Well we arrived and observed that it also contained a petting zoo and various other distractions. I figured. These guys know fishing and kids. There is just so much time a kid can spend fishing and a pony or a piglet can be just the thing.
Entry turned out to be $25 for a fishing license. That basically means you can put a hook in the water. Then $10 for anyone over 12 and $5 for 11 and under. I sort of had this feeling of negativity but when one compares it to places like sea world dream world or gokarting then it is actually pretty cheap.
Hmm zzzzzzzz
This is what fishing is all about. Sitting
Sitting
In the end I came to the conclusion that there probably was only one fish and that every now and then it consented to be caught, fed, photographed and released.
We decided to drive back via Mt Tamborine. There was a convention on at the Christian convention centre. We stopped at the tower and looked at the view toward Brisbane.
Check this out at the Mt Tamborine IGA.
Look closely. Just as good as Fruit and Veg I am sure any kid will agree.
We decided to pass on the F & v and settled for ice cream.
