With Learner credentials "in hand" and rowing done for the day, we set out for Jemma's second learner drive lesson. She'd had her first yesterday with Megan.
The first thing to note when a teenager (Dan) says "sure dad, you can borrow my car" which incidentally we should note I actually own, is the fuel gauge.
All pretty good until we were spooked on a corner and with a bit of oversteer hit the curb. Time for a lesson in changing a wheel. I sat on the grass and gave advice. A lady stopped as she was driving by and mentioned that she'd never changed a wheel.
Jemma had to work out how to apply a bit of extra force to loosen the nuts.
On to buying a replacement wheel and tyre
