Travel day. Train from Chambéry to Val Torrens.
Even though we had first class tickets, we didn't see a first class carriage so just hopped on. Carriage old ish but comfortable and well laid out. Smoked glass screens divide the carriage and presumably allow conversations to not compete. We had a curved seat with a table in the middle of the carriage.
Met a UK couple with daughter on the train. They were doing UI design for Microsoft advertising company. dad was south African.
Changed at Montiers to a bus.
Very winding road with steep drop off's.
