Beers and Barrels is at Canal level. As we walked along, Dan was navigating with google maps on his phone. We walked back and forth over the top before realising it was underneath us.
Inside is a long brick lined tunnel shaped venue. Marcus had pre booked one of the tables that has it's own beer tap. This permits each person to practice their RSA skills and to drink continuously. It would appear the group discovered this early in their Utrecht stay and as well as the atmosphere and beer tap the other draw card were the slow roasted half chickens with chips. Marcus ordered 8. They came with little bowls of mayonnaise and sweet chili sauce. The spiciness complemented the cold beer most excellently.
Around 6:30 we all departed. The students to move on to a Fridge to Fridge party and you can guess what that entails. The Thomson's to their apartment to pack.
