Throat gunked up. Arose early and had a hot steamy shower. Coughed up lots of gunk. Must have created enough terrible noise such that when I went back to the bedroom the door had been closed.
Bit of a snooze, Couldn't sleep. Did the FB duty.
Got dressed. Left the rest I the family sleeping. Walked to the "Jumbo" supermarket with the intention of buying croissants. Along the way heard and observed someone scraping ice off their car. Also noted nice narrow laneways and electric car charging stations.
Arrived Jumbo. Closed. No trading hours displayed. Google advises opens at 10am
Ponder here in the Netherlands both Jumbo and Supermarket must not mean what they do in English. More like a 7-11. But everywhere.
Continued walk to car. A close inspection showed car covered in ice.
The car came with an ice scraper. Had a go. Mainly for the experience of using it. Either I don't have the wrist action or they are pretty ineffectual. I started the engine and directed the yet to be warm air onto the window. It only took a few moments and the ice started to clear. By the time I'd typed this the car was ready to go.
