Lyca Mobile .nl

We bought Lyca mobile local sims.  Not as a result of any serious investigation but just because they were there.

Stuffed up the activation and did not end up with the expected "bundle".  Wanted the 2GB and 500min of voice.

Today 81-DEC-2017 called the Lyca mobile support on 1200.  This required a lot of patience initially as they do a lot to divert you to automated services and I wanted to speak to a support person in English.

Update:
When we got to Estonia and then Sweden - No data!
Tried phoning from Estonia and later Sweden but the 1200 number did not work.  The   +31 20 754 3030 number was in Dutch and so I could not work out what options to choose.   I tried a few random ones but it kept hanging up.

I tried the Aussie help number  +61....
It's options were as follows and they lined up well with a Dutch translation that a friend   of a friend did for me on facebook.
1 Top up
2 Balance and Bundle
3 Register
4 Report Fault
5 Rates and Promotions
6 Anything else
    1 Internet
    2 Transfer Number
    3 Report Lost
    4 Set Language
    5 Anything Else
Enter number followed by Hash or just Hash

CLOSED - They were closed most times.  Their opening hours (I think) are 8 am - 12midnigt
and 12am - 12 midnight but I am not sure which days are which.

THE SOLUTION
1. Enter SMS codes to change the plan (I think)
2. Manually Set the APN  (See further down)

1 SMS CODES
In the end the instructions were:-
1 SMS SAVER (in capitals) to 2525
2 SMS 2001 (number) to 3535
3 SMS BONUSM (number) to 3535

Notes that *190# turns something off
Note that *136# checks the BONUSM thing.
Comment:  Why is this so friggin complicated.

Each handset received a text that said:
U zult de GPRS instellingen configuratie ontvangen.Svp accepteren.
Which Google Translate advises is:
You will receive the GPRS settings configuration. Please accept.
It's an SMS.  How do you accept it?

Megan's Samsung S5 just worked.
Dan's S7 and Jemmas J1 did not have internet.
Ended up entering the APN information manually.  The info entered was based on the following link and guessing .nl instead of .uk

https://www.teamknowhow.com/discover/discover/lyca-mobile-apn-settings#Android%20APN%20settings%20for%20Lycamobile

Manually Set the APN
Settings
Mobile networks
Access Point Names
Add a new Access Point  (menu up the top)
Name: LM NL GPRS DATA
APN:  data.lycamobile.nl
Username: lmnl
Password: plus

This gave Jemma and Dan mobile data.

Registered all the sims on the the Lycamobile.nl web site.
This says only 1GB data.
I think it should be either 2 or 3 GB.
Hmm
DO I call support again?
